In celebration of the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025), and the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Dong Nai Provincial Armed Forces (May 15, 1946 – May 15, 2025), on the morning of May 15, Vedan Vietnam Company, in coordination with the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command and the Nhon Trach District Military Command, along with representatives from various local agencies, held a ceremony to hand over a “Military-Civilian Gratitude House” to Mr. Vo Van Lam and his family, residing in Long Tho Commune, Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province.

The house, with a total area of 70 square meters, was built at a cost of VND 230 million, of which Vedan Vietnam contributed VND 70 million. The remaining amount was raised through donations from benefactors and the family’s own contribution. Mr. Vo Van Lam’s family is classified as a low-income household facing financial hardship. His father is severely ill and bedridden, while his mother manages the household and engages in extra farming activities to supplement the family’s income. In 2019, Mr. Lam fulfilled his military service with Battalion PH38 under the General Staff of Military Region 7. After completing his duty in 2021, he returned home and took a job as a factory worker to support his family. In 2024, his younger brother also enlisted and is currently undergoing military training at Naval Region 2 Training Center. The family’s old house, with a rusted corrugated iron roof and cracked walls, has now been rebuilt into a clean, solid, and comfortable home — a long-cherished dream come true for the entire family.

With the spirit of “Love and Care,” Vedan Vietnam has been partnering with the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command for many years to build “Teamwork Houses” and “Military–Civilian Gratitude Houses” for soldiers and officers facing housing difficulties. This is one of the practical actions aimed at stabilizing the lives of local residents, boosting the morale of soldiers and officers so they can focus on their duties, and contributing to the development of a united and strong community. It also affirms the close-knit relationship between the Armed Forces, businesses, and the people.
