The 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vedan Vietnam company (2025–2030 Term)

On September 13, 2025, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) of Vedan Vietnam company solemnly held its 1st Congress for the 2025–2030 term, reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the 2022–2025 term and setting directions for the new stage following the organizational merger.

The Congress had the honor of welcoming Ms. Huynh Ngoc Thanh Ngan – Secretary of the Phuoc Thai Commune HCYU, Mr. Pham Trung Thuyen – Party Secretary, Chairman of the Trade Union of Vedan Vietnam, Mr. Ko Chung Chih – Deputy General Director of Vedan Vietnam, along with representatives of the Company’s Self-Defense Militia Unit, former Youth Union Secretaries of previous terms, and all Youth Union members of Vedan Vietnam.

Founded in 2003, the Youth Union of Vedan Vietnam is among the pioneering grassroots HCYU organizations within foreign-invested enterprises in Vietnam. The Union currently has 47 members organized into 3 branches, serving as a vanguard force in company activities and an important reserve for the Party Committee of Vedan Vietnam.

Throughout its development, under the close guidance of the Party Committee, the company’s leadership, the Standing Committee of Long Thanh District Youth Union, and with strong support from departments, workshops, and the Trade Union, the Youth Union has achieved remarkable accomplishments. Its members have demonstrated unity, creativity, and dedication, successfully completing assigned programs and tasks.

Outstanding activities include: The “Clean-up for the Environment” campaign 2024 in Phuoc Thai Commune and Vung Tau beach, The environmental sanitation and dengue fever prevention program at local schools prior to the new academic year, Donation of “Great Solidarity” houses, Organizing cam

ping festivals for union members, Paying tribute at the Martyrs’ Cemetery on March 26, The “Gratitude to Former Youth Volunteers” program in coordination with Phuoc Thai Commune Youth Union on July 27.Thanks to these efforts, the Vedan Youth Union has been recognized by the Long Thanh District Youth Union as a “leading unit among enterprises in Youth Union work and youth movements.”

At the Congress, the Union adopted its action plan for the 2025–2030 term, setting out practical objectives aligned with the Party Committee’s and company leadership’s directions. The Union will continue to foster solidarity, innovation, and creativity in youth activities, fulfill assigned tasks, and contribute to building a strong cadre of young members committed to long-term growth with the company.

The Youth Union of Vedan Vietnam affirms its determination to strive relentlessly, further strengthening the organization and making active contributions to the sustainable development of the company and the community.
