Following the success of previous events, Dong Nai Green Week 2018 is one of the largest annual environmental events in Dong Nai province, attracting many schools, businesses and communities to attend to promote the movement of environmental protection in the province.
As one of the foreign enterprises operating for more than 25 years in Dong Nai and making many contributions to the socio-economic development of the province, Vedan Vietnam Company (referred to as Vedan) has accompanied Dong Nai green week through many years of organization. In 2018, Vedan Vietnam continued to attend Dong Nai Green Week and Waste Recycling Festival within the framework of the program with many positive activities.
300 trees and many products produced by Vedan with a total value of over 43 million VND were sponsored by Vedan for the Tree Planting Ceremony by Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment in collaboration with Trang Bom District People’s Committee and businesses, communities in the province implement. In addition, the Company also actively participates in activities to reduce, recycle, reuse recycled waste, collect hazardous waste, etc. during the Waste Recycling Festival to contribute to raise public awareness on environmental protection for sustainable development.
Mr. Tsai Ping Hsuan – Deputy Director of Vedan Vietnam’s General Director Office said, “Participating in Green Dong Nai Week in response to World Environment Day is an opportunity for Vedan staff in particular and individuals, organizations in the province in general can participate in environmental protection by doing specific and diverse activities, bringing practical effects to our living environment.”
With the policy of “Care for environment and Sustainable operation” according to ISO 14001 standard and the occupational health and safety policy: “Safe company – Healthy people” according to OHSAS 18001 standard, Vedan Company has and is aiming for a long-term attachment and development in Vietnam.
