In the exciting atmosphere of the back-to-school season, on September 28, Vedan Vietnam Company (Vedan Vietnam) accompanies the Study Promotion Association of Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province to organize scholarships for poor students overcoming difficulties in the province. The program is even more meaningful as it is a practical action to celebrate the traditional day of the Vietnam Study Promotion Association, October 2.
For many years in a row, thousands of disadvantaged students who strive to excel in their studies have been supported materially and spiritually through study promotion programs coordinated by Vedan Vietnam and the Study Promotion Association of Long Thanh district, Dong Nai to deploy. In which, many poor and disadvantaged students of war invalids and martyrs’ families, students in remote areas… have received practical supports from Vedan Vietnam to continue to go to school.
More than 200 scholarships and bicycles with a value of from 800,000 to 2 million VND each have been awarded by Long Thanh district’s Study Promotion Association to disadvantaged students who achieved good academic results in the last year. Representative of Vedan Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy (Deputy Director of Public Relations Affairs) said: “This is a gift Vedan Vietnam wants to give to students in the 2018-2019 school year, hope that all students continue to strive in study, become good children and good students, soon help the family and society”.
With a sparkling smile in her eyes, little girl Tran Thi Anh Hien (living in Hamlet 2, Long An Commune, Long Thanh District – currently a Student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages) emotionally shared:”The scholarship is really a meaningful gift, a motivation to remind me to try harder in the new school year.”
On this occasion, Mr. Le Chi Phuong (representative of Long Thanh district’s Study Promotion Association, Dong Nai province) thanked the support of mass enterprises, especially Vedan Vietnam, who have always responded and accompanied the Association over the past 6 years since its establishment, contributed a lot of human and material resources to bring a brighter future to disadvantaged students in the area.
With the spirit of “Love and Care”, after the first 3 quarters of 2018, community activities such as: planting trees, responding to World Environment Day, free medical examination and distribution of medicines to disadvantaged people difficulties…have been done by Vedan Vietnam. In addition to stabilizing production activities and maintaining growth, the end of the year is also the time when Vedan Vietnam continues to accompany the people and provide encouragement through meaningful activities such as: giving Tet gifts to the poor, building houses to charity, and especially learning and talent promotion programs, expanding the educational path for the country’s preschool generation.
