On May 31, 2018, Vedan Vietnam Company coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police of Dong Nai province to organize a large-scale fire rehearsal and rescue plan in 2018 with the aim of improving the quality of life raise awareness of fire safety work at the facility.
The rehearsal was attended by more than 100 members of Vedan’s on-site fire fighting team in collaboration with Dong Nai Fire and Rescue Police. Regarding vehicles, there are 01 command vehicle, 02 fire engines, 01 rescue vehicle, 01 ambulance and other technical means. The hypothetical situation is that the fire occurs due to an electrical short, then the fire breaks out. There was a large explosion, 3 people were trapped in the fire and many damage caused by the fire spread. When detecting a fire, employees strictly follow the trained fire prevention and fighting steps, quickly mobilize the vehicle force to organize the escape, rescue and initial fire fighting. Then coordinate with the professional fire fighting force of Dong Nai province to quickly extinguish the fire and search for victims.
During the rehearsal, members were propagated knowledge and practiced on-site fire fighting plans, trained in the use of fire extinguishers, moved assets, pressed fire alarms, announced switchboards, and placed on probation scene, coordinate in saving people, fighting fires… in order to be ready to respond in emergency situations.
Mr. Ko Chung Chih – Deputy General Director of Vedan Vietnam Company said: In order to do well in fire prevention, Vedan has set up a dedicated on-site fire prevention team consisting of 22 members who are trained, fostered professional, ready to coordinate with the regional fire fighting force to take the initiative in the initial fire fighting. At the same time, facilities and fire fighting facilities at Vedan are regularly checked to ensure the best use condition to meet fire prevention and fire prevention standards.
