In harmony with the exciting, interesting and rewarding summer atmosphere of the students after a long year of hard study, on July 9, 2017 the Labor Union and the Board of Directors of Vedan Vietnam Company held a ceremony to announce praise the children of employees for their excellent achievements in the 2016-2017 academic year.
Of the 700 children who are children of employees honored in this meaningful summer, 151 of them have achieved excellent academic results and won prizes in school, district, provincial and national levels. Each child will receive a scholarship worth from 500,000 to 1,500,000 VND depending on the level of study, the total reward is more than 100,000,000 VND.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy General Director of Vedan Vietnam Company – Mr. Ko Chung Chih congratulated and praised the students and encouraged them to continue to strive so that their academic achievements are always the pride of the family in particular and of Vedan Vietnam in general.
Mr. Ko Chung Chih also added: “We are extremely honored and feel proud that the Company employees’ children are all obedient, well-educated and are the talents of the country in the future. Every year, in addition to organize activities caring for employment, income and health for employees of the Company, we always pay special attention to the Company’s employees’ children, specially on occasions of Children’s Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and the beginning of the new academic year, we all organize many programs for children to have the opportunity to meet, exchange, have fun and learn from each other’s experiences. In addition, we also organize employees’ children to visit the working environment at the Company, so that they can understand more about their parents’ workplace. We believe that, with the tradition of studiousness of Vietnamese people, Vedan Vietnam Company has more and more children of its employees, who are excellent students, meanwhile hope that all children will foster their dream to continue the work of his parents. Through these meaningful actions, we also want our employees to have more faith, motivation to rest assured in production, long-term attachment to the company, and mutual interest in raising children to study well, live a good life, worthy with the expectations of the family, school and society”.
Tran Gia Hung, a student of class 11 at Long Thanh High School, child of Mr. Tran Trang Su (Transportation Department), won the third prize in English via Internet at the provincial level, the National Consolation prize at the Internet-IOE English Olympiad, expressing his joy when he was honored to be one of 700 employees’ children for many years: “on behalf of all children here, I will make more efforts, strive constantly to be a good student, worthy of the merits of teachers and parents and interest from the company and labor union of Vedan Vietnam Company”.
Chairman of the Company’s Labor Union Mr. Pham Trung Thuyen also said: “With these gifts given on the occasion of the coming summer vacation, we hope to add more excitement in learning for the children to develop further, try to continue to achieve achievements in the following year; so that employees of Vedan Vietnam Company have more faith in the Company and in the Labor Union where they work”.
The annual award ceremony for the children of employees with excellent academic achievements not only shows the Company’s interest in employees, but also encourages them to have faith and confidence and determine to study, contribute with family and Vedan Vietnam Company to build a bright future.
