Vedan Vietnam Company continues accompanying with Study Promotion Association of Dong Nai province to award scholarships “Supporting students with disabilities to overcome difficulties to go to school” and scholarships for “Vocational students” the academic year 2019-2020

On the occasion of September 2019 and the 11th anniversary of the Vietnam Study Promotion Day (October 2, 2008 – October 2, 2019), the Dong Nai Study Promotion Association collaborated with Dong Nai Radio and Television Station Nai and other departments in the province organized the awarding of the 8th “Supporting students with disabilities to overcome difficulties to go to school” and the “Vocational students” for the second time in the academic year 2019-2020.

Born into a family of farmers, Le Cao Thanh Binh (a student of class 12B8 at Hoang Dieu High School, Dong Nai) unfortunately suffered from meningitis in grade 3 which has not been untreated yet, then he continues being suffered from papillomatitis in the eyes. Initially, one of his eyes could not see, then both eyes. Despite receiving treatment, learning still faces many difficulties. From grade 8, he was fortunate to receive support of the scholarship “Supporting students with disabilities to overcome difficulties to go to school” and that was a great source of encouragement for himself as well as his family. Also on this occasion, Pham Toan Thang (student in class DN18 TC33 of Dong Nai Technical College) shared “…my family has 4 brothers, my father rides a tricycle to carry rented goods, my mother is in poor health and can not go to work so she has no income; my situation as well as many of my friends here is very difficult, thanks to this scholarship I have tried hard to study well and am continuing my 2nd year…”. Binh and Thang are two out of 257 cases receiving supports from the scholarship program for “Supporting students with disabilities to overcome difficulties to go to school” and “Vocational students” in 2019-2020 launched by Dong Nai Study Promotion Association with the participation of businesses, organizations, and sponsors in the area. The program has left a deep impression by its humanity when it comes to helping students and students overcome barriers of illness and difficulties to maintain good academic performance.

As one of the long-time companions of the Dong Nai Study Promotion Association, Vedan Vietnam Company has actively participated in this meaningful scholarship program for the past 6 years. On this occasion, the representative of Dong Nai Province’s Study Promotion Association thanked the mass enterprises, especially Vedan Vietnam, for their continuous response, spiritual and material support to the Association during the past 6 years with an annual contribution of VND 150 million.

Paying special attention to the training of the young generation, scholarship programs have long been an integral part of Vedan Vietnam’s community activities. With the help of the company, many students have been given wings to study and continue to contribute efforts to the training of high-quality human resources for Dong Nai province in particular and Vietnam in general.
