In May, when the phoenix flowers start to bloom red in the school yards and the hot summer sun seems to burn everything… a cool breeze, a beach with abundant waves, “cooling off” trips with friends and family is the most lovely gift that Vedan Vietnam’s Labor Union brings to employees.
In 2019, with a total budget of nearly VND 1.5 billion, Labor Union of Vedan Vietnam Company organized a 2 day 1 night vacation tour program in Mui Ne for 871 employees (with time to work at the company from 1998 to 2008) and their relatives. The program is divided into 3 phases on weekends and 1 working day (excluding salary).
During this year’s vacation, besides visiting famous places of Binh Thuan province such as: Wine castle, flying sand hill… beach games such as: bringing water to the village, moving forward, conquering goals, sharing the same direction, tug-of-war… connected everyone into a unified collective that brought laughter, hundreds of people together formed the word Vedan – Family… that created a colorful and lively summer on the beach. Exciting music, competitive games of groups, and meaningful parts of the gala night are unforgettable memories of the whole group after each trip.
Along with business and social activities, taking care of employees’ lives is a top priority at Vedan Vietnam. Every year, the company constantly strives improving the working environment – improve the lives of employees so that each member of the Vedan Vietnam family can promote their capacity and improve working productivity. Competitions such as flower arrangement, cooking, chess, friendly football… are held annually to improve health and cheer up employees’ morale.
Mr. Pham Trung Thuyen (Chairman of the Labor Union of Vedan Vietnam Company) shared: “The Board of Directors of Vedan Vietnam always believes that the foundation for long-term development is not only business efficiency, but also business efficiency. It is also the development of culture and working environment, creating a special connection between employees and the company. The annual travel program is not only an incentive and encouragement for employees, but also an opportunity for employees and leaders to have the opportunity to get closer and understand each other better. We hope all employees had a comfortable rest and made good memories together to continue their efforts to build a stronger Vedan”.
Vedan Vietnam is one of the typical enterprises applying the environmental policy: “Care for environment and Sustainable operation” according to ISO 14001 standard, and the occupational health and safety policy: “Safe company – Healthy people” according to OHSAS 18001 standard. Thanks to its efforts to protect the rights of employees through a practical welfare regime rich in humanity, for two consecutive years (2017-2018) Vedan Vietnam has was honored “Enterprise for employees”.
