As part of its strong commitment to the “Action Month for Occupational Safety and Hygiene 2025,” Vedan Vietnam, in coordination with the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PC07), organized a large-scale fire prevention and rescue drill on May 22. The exercise aimed to enhance emergency preparedness, reinforce on-site response capabilities, and build a safe, responsible, and cohesive working environment for all employees.
The drill simulated a fire incident in a materials warehouse, complete with dense smoke, trapped individuals, and assets at risk. Upon hearing the alarm, Vedan staff promptly activated the emergency protocol: reporting the incident, cutting power, containing the fire, evacuating people and property, mobilizing internal response teams, and coordinating with professional rescue forces. Each stage of the drill was executed with precision, reflecting real-world procedures and demonstrating seamless coordination between Vedan’s in-house emergency teams and the provincial fire department.
Throughout May, Vedan also collaborated with the fire authorities to conduct three training sessions for staff across all departments. Participants were equipped with practical skills in fire extinguishing techniques, hose handling, asset evacuation, emergency escape procedures, and first-aid basics for injured individuals.
Deputy General Director of Vedan Vietnam, Mr. Ko Chung Chih, emphasized the importance of such initiatives: “At Vedan, we believe our people are our most valuable asset. Ensuring their safety is not just a responsibility, but a core value. These training and drill programs are part of our ongoing efforts to cultivate a secure, supportive, and empowering workplace where everyone can thrive and contribute with confidence.”
In addition to the fire drill and training, Vedan launched various other initiatives in response to the Action Month, including professional workshops, a 3R (Reduce – Reuse – Recycle) improvement award program, and factory-wide visual campaigns promoting workplace safety and hygiene.
With its mission to “Foster prosperity with sincerity, innovation, and shared growth,” Vedan Vietnam continues to invest in building a safe and sustainable working environment. The company actively adopts international safety and environmental standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, under the guiding principle: “Safe Company – Healthy People.” These efforts have turned Vedan into a second home for its employees — a place defined by professionalism, unity, and trust.
