On April 18, 2025, Vedan Vietnam, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Phuoc Binh Commune, donated a “Great Unity House” to the family of Mrs. Pham Thi Gium (residing in Hamlet 6, Phuoc Binh Commune, Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province).
Mrs. Gium, 81 years old, is in very poor health. Her husband passed away, and her children work far away. For nearly 20 years, she has lived with her grandson, who is unable to attend school due to illness. The two of them have relied on the kindness of neighbors and fellow villagers in Phuoc Binh Commune to get by. The only possessions in their home were a mattress on the floor, a few pots and pans, and a firewood stove. Thanks to Vedan Vietnam’s sponsorship of 50 million VND, the two now have a new, spacious, dry, and cooler home to live in. The joy in Mrs. Gium’s eyes was overwhelming as she expressed her happiness at finally having the house of her dreams.
Phuoc Binh Commune is located near Vedan Vietnam’s factory in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province. Since the early days of establishing the factory, Vedan has maintained a close relationship with the local authorities and has been committed to supporting the community’s welfare. With the motto “Cultivating Affection, Giving Fully,” the company has annually donated a “Great Unity House” to the commune, provided scholarships to disadvantaged students, distributed hundreds of Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts to the poor, and participated in various gratitude activities. In line with its “Love & Care” spirit, Vedan Vietnam continues to be dedicated to social welfare work, making it a beloved and respected enterprise in the region.
