On Sep 16th, 2016, Vedan Vietnam Company in coordination with Long Thanh district Fund of Study Encouragement (Dong Nai) held the ceremony giving scholarships for poor students overcoming difficulties in academic year 2016. This is an annual program with topic “Overcoming learning difficulties” and “School effort” in order to share difficulties with poor students in the district.
Continuing the success of the program in 2015, this year program marked 5 years in a row in the journey of compassionate hearts bringing a tremendous social significance; help poor students have more motivation in studying for a bright future.
At the ceremony, leaders of Dong Nai provincial Fund of Study Encouragement, leaders of Long Thanh district People’s Committee and representatives of Vedan Company attended and gave scholarship to students. Attending the program, representative of Vedan Vietnam spoke and congratulated students for well studying and receiving meaningful and human gifts on the new academic year from Vedan company.
Mr. Ngo The An – Chairman of Long Thanh district People’s Committee said the Study Encouragement Fund was established for 16 years, and Vedan Vietnam company responded and accompanied with the Fund since its establishment. On behalf of the district leaders, I expressed my gratitude to the company as well as other sponsors for always concerning about poor students in difficult circumstances overcoming to study.
In the program giving scholarships for poor students this year, Long Thanh district Fund of Study Encouragement gave 180 scholarships, of which Vedan Vietnam gave 100 scholarships and bicycles with values from VND800,000-2,000,000 per scholarship for students in difficult circumstances fond of learning in last academic year. This is a tremendous physical and mental encouragement, helping them further try in studying and in life to become good and excellent children, soon be useful for their families, for the society.
Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tu – student at Binh Son High School spoke emotionally, today on the occasion of new academic year 2016-2017, we receive concerns of district’s leaders and Boards of Directors of companies donating scholarships for us. In studying process, due to our difficult circumstances, sometimes I thought I could not continue studying. Today, we received meaningful scholarships. These will help us have school supplies, and others have bicycles in new academic year, reducing a part of families’ difficulties. These are also motivation for us to enhance the excitement and peace of mind learning.
On the occasion Vedan Vietnam giving scholarships for poor students fond of learning in Long Thanh district, Mr. Le Hoang Minh – Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial Study Encouragement Fund on behalf of the provincial People’s Committee gave certificate of Merit to Vedan Vietnam for its contributions to the Dong Nai Fund of Study and talent encouragement in 2015.
The annual program giving scholarships for poor students of Vedan was appreciated as a tremendous meaningful donation program of Vedan Vietnam in boosting and developing educational career in Vietnam by local government.
