Vedan Vietnam joins hands to build 3 more dream houses in Dong Nai province

To bring a more complete Tet holiday, in the final days of 2024, Vedan Vietnam Company coordinated with the Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Phu District to present two charity houses and, in collaboration with the Red Cross Society of Dong Nai Province, gave away one “Military-Civilian” house to disadvantaged families with housing difficulties in Dong Nai Province.

Due to ongoing road repairs, the delegation had to take a long detour through the provinces of Lam Dong and Binh Phuoc to reach Hamlet 7, Dak Lua Commune, Tan Phu District, Dong Nai. The local people here still face many shortages in basic infrastructure, electricity, and water. The first house was presented to the family of Mr. Tô Văn Niệm, an ethnic Tay family with a policy-affiliated background (currently worshipping fallen soldiers) and living in poverty. The family’s old house had deteriorated for years and lacked the means for repairs. The new 52m² house will provide shelter for the elderly and children in the family.

Not far from Mr. Niệm’s house, we visited Mr. Nông Văn Điệp’s family, another impoverished ethnic minority family facing housing difficulties. Though young, Mr. Điệp and his wife have three small children and no stable work, with his wife often falling ill. Receiving the house decision, Mr. Điệp was deeply moved as his long-held dream came true. In his speech during the house handover ceremony, Mr. Trần Văn Khiêm (Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lua Commune) shared: “This is a meaningful activity. Dak Lua Commune is in a remote area, but Vedan Vietnam and other generous donors have always cared for us. This is a great motivation for the families who received homes to strive for a better future.”

In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2024) and the 35th National Defense Day, on the morning of December 22, 2024, Vedan Vietnam Company, in cooperation with the Red Cross Society of Dong Nai Province and the Military Command of Bien Hoa City, held the “Military-Civilian Meaningful House Handover Ceremony” for the family of Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Ánh (address: 330/51, Khu Pho 11, Tan Mai Ward, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province). The 49m² house, built with an investment of 170 million VND, was the result of a
fundraising effort by the Dong Nai Red Cross Society, Vedan Vietnam Company, Chính Nam Construction Design Joint Stock Company, the Military Command of Bien Hoa City, and many generous individuals and the family’s contributions. From now on, Mrs. Ánh will face less hardship in daily life and will experience less suffering when the weather changes.

“Fostering Healthy Lives – Sharing Love” is not only Vedan Vietnam’s motto but also the company’s concrete action. Through collaboration with local authorities and donors to build dream houses, Vedan Vietnam not only brings warmth to disadvantaged families facing housing challenges but also calls for generous hearts, providing motivation for families to strive for a better future and contributing to the development of the local community.
