On December 15, 2018, Vedan Vietnam Company (Vedan Vietnam) was honored to be one of enterprises honored in the Ranking “Enterprise for employees in 2018”. This is the second year in a row, Vedan Vietnam has received this honor after its constant efforts in improving the working environment for employees.
“Enterprises for employees” is a prestigious ranking organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Vietnam Chamber of Industry to honor enterprises that have had many years of efforts in caring and taking care of employees’ lives, building a harmonious relationship between business interests – workers’ interests – social interests.
As one of the first foreign enterprises to invest in Vietnam, Vedan Vietnam has had more than 26 years of accompanying socio-economic development with a contribution of about 300 billion VND/year to the State budget. The foundation for outstanding achievements is determined by the human factor. Since then, a series of policies to protect workers’ rights have become a top priority at Vedan Vietnam.
To improve the working environment for the company’s employees, the occupational health and safety policy “Safe Company – healthy people” according to OHSAS 18001 standard is maintained and implemented by Vedan Vietnam. The quality life of employees is also paid special attention by the company through practical activities such as: providing spacious, clean and beautiful accommodation for remote workers, supporting nutritious meals for workers, supporting the shuttle bus, fuel costs for employees… With its prestige, the union every year guarantees hundreds of workers to borrow money from the capital aid fund for employment of the poor, helping many workers to escape out of difficult circumstances, work with peace of mind, and stick with the company. Every year, Vedan often organizes meaningful playgrounds for employees such as cooking contests, art competitions, and sports competitions such as skipping rope, football, chess, etc. to improve health and spirit for workers.
With many efforts towards employees, Vedan Vietnam is one of the enterprises with the highest number of long-term employees in the market. By the end of 2018, Vedan Vietnam has 642 employees who have been with the company for over 20 years, especially many families with 2 generations working and sticking with Vedan Vietnam.
The ranking of “Enterprises for employees in 2018” is an important milestone in recognition of the efforts to protect the rights of employees at Vedan Vietnam, and at the same time is a great motivation in the journey of comprehensive development of the company in the future.
