On the morning of October 3, 2025, employees of Vedan Vietnam joined a beach cleanup activity at the Tam Thang Tower area (old Vung Tau), organized by the Taiwan Business Association of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. The initiative aimed to help restore the local landscape and promote environmental awareness within the community. This marks the second time Vedan has participated in this meaningful activity.
Starting at 9:30 a.m., volunteers gathered for the kickoff ceremony before beginning the waste collection and sorting at the designated area. The event also attracted local youth and residents, further spreading the message of environmental protection. After two hours of dedicated effort, dozens of bags of waste—including plastic, bottles, and leaves—were collected, sorted, and neatly placed at the designated point for proper disposal. The activity not only contributed to a cleaner and greener environment around Tam Thang Tower, but also reaffirmed the commitment and responsibility of Vedan employees toward environmental initiatives.
In parallel with environmental cleaning activities, Vedan has, for many years, invested in building factories and production processes that comply with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, equipped with an advanced wastewater treatment system, reuse of production by-products, and practices for waste segregation at source. The company also actively participates in and supports campaigns such as “Dong Nai Green Week” and “Environment Action Month,” as well as tree-planting and water-source protection efforts. Guided by the principles “Cherish the Environment – Sustain Long-Term Business” and “Safe Company – Healthy People,” Vedan consistently emphasizes environmental awareness. Employees regularly take part in training sessions on the impacts of plastic waste, proper waste classification, and the use of environmentally friendly alternatives.
Over nearly 35 years of development in Vietnam, Vedan has remained steadfast in integrating production with social responsibility and sustainable development. From simple cleanup activities to long-term technological solutions, the company continues to demonstrate its commitment to contributing to a greener, more prosperous future for the community.
