As part of its ongoing efforts to support disadvantaged households, on September 9, 2026, Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corp., Ltd. joined hands with the Phuoc Thai Commune Fatherland Front Committee to launch the construction of a “Great Solidarity House” for the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, a resident of Hamlet 5, Phuoc Thai Commune, Dong Nai City.
After traveling along a narrow, secluded road scattered with gravel and rarely used by passersby, we arrived at Mr. Hoa’s home. Beside a cluster of swaying banana trees stood a makeshift kitchen enclosed by rusted, deteriorating metal sheets. The approximately 50-square-meter house had fallen into severe disrepair, with cold winds whistling through its deteriorated structure.

Lying weakly on an old bed, Mr. Hoa greeted his visitors in a frail voice. Several years ago, an accident left him with severe spinal cord injuries, resulting in complete paralysis. Over time, his limbs also became increasingly atrophied, severely limiting his mobility. Since then, the responsibility of providing for the family’s daily needs and covering medical expenses has fallen entirely on his wife, Mrs. Phu. Unfortunately, their difficulties deepened when she suffered a serious illness that left her unable to work and made walking difficult. Today, the family relies on a modest social assistance allowance, along with support from local authorities and the generosity of their neighbors, to get through each day.

In response to an appeal from the Phuoc Thai Commune Fatherland Front Committee, Vedan Vietnam contributed VND 70 million toward the construction of a “Great Solidarity House” for the family. Through this meaningful support and the care and compassion of the community, Vedan Vietnam hopes that the couple’s health will gradually improve, enabling them to overcome their current difficulties and face the challenges ahead with greater strength and hope.
