On last November 26, Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corp.,Ltd cooperated with the Red Cross Association of Dong Nai province to donate 2 Red Cross houses to poor households living in Phu Ly commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province. Each house is sponsored by Vedan Vietnam for 50 million VND, the rest is contributed by sponsors and families.
Less than three months is Tiger Lunar New Year, perhaps Mrs. Cao Thi Diep (residing in Hamlet 1, Phu Ly Commune, Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province) has still not dared to believe that her family can welcome the New Year in such a beautiful home. After many years of struggling to make a living, the old house kept rotten over the years without money to repair. Not mention to 2 consecutive years of fighting the epidemic which has exhausted all financial resources of her family.

With the attention of the Red Cross Association of Dong Nai province and the Military Command of Bien Hoa city, the vacant lot next to the house seems to be less lonely because of the bustle of the builders. Day by day, the tall, solid, beautiful house gradually appears like a “real dream”. From now on, Mrs. Diep’s family will no longer struggle against leaks when it rains or suffers from the scorching heat of the sweltering summer. The hardships and worries are also somewhat relieved when returning to the family in this blue house.
Similar to Mrs. Diep, Mr. Dang Van Com’s family (living in Ly Lich 1 hamlet) is also a poor household. In the late afternoon, instead of being comfortably reunited with their children and grandchildren, they kept worrying about a place “hiding place from the sun, shelter from the rain”. Now, taking the decision to hand over the house, the grandparents had tears in their eyes because of the emotion, the smile on the crow’s feet of the white heads has never been so peaceful. She kept repeating: “Thank you, ladies and gentlemen, thank you Vedan Company… from now on, my wife and I sleep well without worrying about rain or wind.”

In this round of house giving, each household is sponsored by Vedan Vietnam Company with 50 million VND in funding. In addition to that is the support in kind and cash from the sponsors, the local government from 15-24 million VND, depending on the needs and family circumstances. Gifts from the smallest such as essential food, to the larger ones such as televisions, tables, chairs… are all gestures to continue the two-decade journey of building “home” for disadvantaged households in the area.
Since its inception, a total of about 200 houses have been given to needy households by Vedan Vietnam with many meaningful names such as Red Cross House, Companion House, Charitable House… After 2 houses in Phu Ly commune, the company continues its effort to finish the construction of the remaining houses according to the set 2021 plan, with the desire to bring joy to families to celebrate the Lunar New Year. This is considered a deep gratitude that Vedan Company wants to send on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of construction and development in Vietnam, and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Red Cross, and 77 years of founding the Vietnam People’s Army.
Peace of mind for a peaceful home. Every home is a joy, a dream come true. That is also the desire of all Vedan Vietnam employees. With the motto “Thank you Vietnam – Firmly move forward”, activities such as: giving Red Cross houses, giving gifts to the poor with disabilities, spraying drugs to prevent epidemics, donating blood, etc. This is a very practical action to continue the “Love and Share” journey that Vedan Vietnam has accompanied the local Red Cross for many years.
