Vedan VN gives 1,000 Tet gifts to the poor in Dong Nai province

With the theme ” Spring Get Together, Tet with full of love”, on the occasion of Tan Suu 2021 Spring, Vedan Vietnam Company gave 1,000 Tet gifts to people in difficult circumstances in Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province and My Xuan ward (Phu My town, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province).

Tan Suu 2021 Tet has closely come again; spring atmosphere has begun bustling in all parts of the country. However, somewhere, Tet is not only happiness but also worries of many families in difficult circumstances. For them, not only for Tet but paying for daily life, which is already extremely difficult, is now more and more expensive – more difficult.

During 3 days, the first, the second and the fourth day of last February, with the support of local authorities, Vedan Vietnam Company gave 1,000 gifts to people in difficult circumstances in such communes as: Phuoc Thai, Phuoc Binh, Tan Hiep, Bau Can, Binh Son, Cam Duong … at Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province and My Xuan ward at Phu My town, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. Each gift is worth nearly 600,000 VND including items such as rice, fish sauce, sugar, cooking oil, chili sauce, ketchup, monosodium glutamate, Vedan seasoning…

Due to the complicated and unpredictable developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Tet gifts-giving activities were carefully organized by local authorities. For nearby residents, the time to receive gifts is reasonably distributed to avoid large gatherings, all participating residents are reminded to wear masks, wash hands with antiseptic, and keep a safe distance when receiving gifts. The households who live far away are sent gifts to their home by volunteers and youth union members of the communes. The support and companionship of the Red Cross Association of Long Thanh district, the People’s Committees and the Fatherland Front Committee of the communes … are a great motivation for Vedan Vietnam to bring to the people dear, practical gifts with bold Tet flavor.

As one of the recipients of Tet gifts from Vedan Vietnam, Mrs. Huynh Thi Chin (Hamlet 1B, Phuoc Thai commune) emotionally shared: “Due to the impact of the Covid pandemic, this year it seemed like there was no Tet, everyone is in need, worried … Today received this gift, I’m so happy and more peace of mind. Thank you Vedan Company”.

Directly giving gifts to households in difficult circumstances, Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy (Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Department of Vedan Vietnam) said: “The expectation, joy, happiness of people when receiving gifts is motivation for us to continue doing this program. The gifts are not of high value, but they are Love & Care of Vedan Vietnam Company employees, are the most practical Tet greetings to families in difficult circumstances. Hoping that there is Vedan, everyone kitchen is all red with affection. ”

Giving Tet gifts to people in difficult circumstances is an annual activity that has been continuously maintained for many years by Vedan Vietnam. This is one of the activities for the community that Vedan has interested, preserved, increasingly promoted – a noble gesture demonstrating the corporate social responsibility. Through the program, the philosophy of “Developing from society, dedicating to society” of Vedan Vietnam has become more practical than ever.

Towards the 30th anniversary of establishment and development in Vietnam (since 1991), in the coming time, Vedan Vietnam will contribute more to the community. With a total cost of about 4 billion VND per year, programs such as: medical examination and treatment and free medicine distribution, scholarship funding, building charity houses, and giving gifts to families in difficult circumstances … have been carried out in a proper way and spread more. No success has been formed from single steps; it’s hoped that with the support of the local authorities, the companionship of the donors … Vedan Vietnam can contribute to the development of Dong Nai land, bringing a richer and more beautiful life for people in the future.
