In the context of complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, besides the implications for public health, economic loss is a difficult problem for many businesses and localities. Thousands of workers are unemployed; the economic pillar is shaken, leaving many families in difficult circumstances. More than ever, the spirit of solidarity and mutual help is the driving force for the community to overcome the volatile period caused by the epidemic.
With the spirit of solidarity “Good leaves protect torn leaves”, Vedan Vietnam company quickly responded to the call (from the Party Committee – People’s Council – People’s Committee – Fatherland Front Committee of Phuoc Thai commune, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province) to donate 1 ton of rice for the automatic rice generator. This is the first rice ATM in Phuoc Thai commune to help families in difficult circumstances. With this machine, each citizen can come and pick up 2 kg of rice/day. Although not much, it is enough to warm the hearts of families in need.
It is expected that the automatic rice generator program will last from April 27 to April 29, then from May 4 until the rice runs out. The installation, maintaining security and order and guiding people to queue to receive rice are actively carried out by the locality.
As one of the leading enterprises in Dong Nai province, rice sponsorship for automatic rice generators is the latest community program of Vedan Vietnam company after a series of joint efforts to fight the epidemic such as: Sponsoring disinfectants for districts, supporting the Covid-19 epidemic prevention budget… Besides, the company also strictly adheres to the principles of ensuring work safety such as: regulations on wearing masks, washing hands regularly, measure body temperature, disinfect working environment…
