In the exciting atmosphere of the back-to-school season, on September 8, Vedan Vietnam Company together with Long Thanh district’s Study Encouragement Association, Dong Nai province awarded scholarships to students in difficult circumstances of the province.
From 2013 until now, Vedan Company has continuously accompanied and supported more than VND 700 million to join the Long Thanh district’s Study Encouragement Association in Dong Nai province to take care of local students and students with disabilities in the local.
In the 2019-2020 school year, Vedan Vietnam donated VND 100 million – along with organizational expenses – to accompany the Long Thanh district’s Study Encouragement Association to award scholarships to 193 in difficult circumstances with good academic achievement. This is a meaningful encouragement when the new school year begins, helping them go to school like many of their peers, closer to their dreams. Vu Anh Tuan (student of Thu Duc College of Technology) on behalf of the scholarship recipients said: “With the support of Vedan Vietnam, sponsors…the scholarships have helped us have more supplies in the new school year, reducing the burden on the family. We vow to study hard to become good citizens, contributing to the development of our homeland…”.
Sharing at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy (Deputy Director of External Relations of Vedan company) said: “Vedan Vietnam is very honored to have accompanied the Long Thanh district’s Study Encouragement Association for many years. We sincerely hope that the scholarship recipients will try their best to study well so that they can return to help future generations.” Also on this occasion, Mr. Le Chi Phuong (chairman of the Long Thanh district’s Study Encouragement Association) thanked the support of mass enterprises, especially Vedan Vietnam, which has always accompanied the Long Thanh district’s Study Encouragement Association, Dong Nai province during the past years.
With the criterion of “Love & Care”, awarding scholarships to students in Long Thanh district is part of Vedan Vietnam’s annual community activities. This is practical action of the Board of Directors and all employees of the company in education and human resource development in the future.
