The care and improvement of people’s health, especially those in difficult circumstances, is always a top priority. However, due to limited living standards, people in general and the poor in particular in remote and isolated areas still face many obstacles in accessing health care services.
With the approval of Dong Nai People’s Committee, Department of Health, Department of Foreign Affairs and local authorities at all levels, the charity medical examination has been coordinated by Vedan Vietnam Company with Vinh Dan General Hospital (Taichung – Taiwan) deployed from 2012 to present. The program has provided free medical examination and medicine to about 16,000 people across the districts of Dong Nai province.
From August 7 to August 9, 2019, the charity medical examination and free medicine distribution program organized by Vedan Vietnam Company with the theme “Join hands for public health” took place in districts of Dinh Quan, Tan Phu, Cam My (Dong Nai province)
From early in the morning, a large number of elderly people and people gathered at the medical examination site. Everyone is excited to have the opportunity to be examined and consulted by the leading specialists of Vinh Dan Hospital
Not afraid of stormy weather and remote roads, Vedan Vietnam staffs and medical team of Vinh Dan General Hospital are always enthusiastic and professional in every stage from preparation to program organization
With the experience of 8 successful events, in addition to the treatment drugs, the doctors also prepared a large number of necessary vitamins and supplements to fostering health of the people
In addition to the elderly and people in difficult circumstances, children are also prioritized for attention at the program. Many children were very excited when their parents took them to be examined and consulted for free by leading pediatricians from Vinh Dan General Hospital
During the examination, doctors also consulted with patients on nutrition, hygiene, as well as ways to prevent common diseases in the changing seasons
In addition to providing medical examination and treatment to thousands of people, Vedan Company supports the transfer to a higher-level hospital, emergency treatment for severe illness or needing monitoring and treatment. With extremely difficult circumstances, Vedan Vietnam also supports buying health insurance to reduce the burden for people
