Vedan Vietnam has been accompanying the program “Green Dong Nai Week” for many years

Following the success of previous years, the program “Green Dong Nai Week” in 2019 continues to be coordinated by the Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment with the City People’s Committee. Bien Hoa will be held from June 2 to June 9. This is also the 5th time Vedan Vietnam Company participates in this activity with many practical and meaningful environmental activities.

As one of the FDI enterprises with the development process associated with Dong Nai province for more than 27 years. Besides business activities, Vedan Vietnam has been making efforts to bring positive contributions to the community. Accompanying environmental protection activities in the province, every year, Vedan Vietnam always mobilizes its employees to plant trees, collect recyclables, launch a movement to maintain hygiene in the working place…

In 2019, the program “Green Dong Nai Week” with the theme “Air pollution and our actions” attracted more than 900 youth union members, students and residents to participate. Coming to this year’s event, Vedan Vietnam sponsored 300 trees and many products manufactured by the company with a value of more than VND 40 million. At the same time, the company directly participates in reduction – recycling waste activities with the interesting activity of calling on people to exchange garbage for Vedan products. Through this activity, the company wants to spread the message calling on the community to raise awareness and join hands to act for a sustainable environment.

In addition, within the framework of the program “Green Dong Nai Week”, everyone will be challenged with many meaningful activities such as participating in contests on waste recycling, planting trees, being trained on composting waste at source and learn how to respond to a green lifestyle, familiarize themselves with positive environmental habits such as using public transport, limiting the use of single-use plastics, etc.

In the coming time, Vedan Vietnam will continue to adhere to and share the values from the policy “Care for environment and Sustainable operation” according to ISO 14001 standard, and the occupational health and safety policy: “Safe company – Healthy people” according to OHSAS 18001 standard. This is also a guideline for Vedan’s relentless and serious efforts in environmental protection over the years.
