In order to join hands to protect the environment for public health, for many years, Vedan Vietnam Company has cooperated with the Red Cross Society of Long Thanh district to deploy spraying to prevent hand, foot and mouth disease and dengue fever at kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in the district.
This year, Vedan Vietnam Company supports chemicals to organize spraying – to prevent hand, foot and mouth disease – at 100% of public kindergartens and primary schools (110 schools); mosquito-killing chemicals for spraying – prevention of dengue fever – at 125 kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools in Long Thanh district. In addition to supporting spray chemicals, Vedan Vietnam also sponsored the entire program with a cost of over VND 81 million.
Spraying, preventing hand-foot-mouth disease and dengue fever at schools in Long Thanh district is one of the annual activities of Vedan Vietnam. The activity will take place from October 6 to 14, 2018 on Saturdays and Sundays to ensure the safety of students.
Currently, in Dong Nai province, diseases are complicated. According to the Provincial Preventive Medicine Center, from the beginning of 2018 to now, the province has recorded more than 10,000 cases of dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease. In which, there are more than 4,000 cases of dengue fever and more than 6,100 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease. In particular, there have been 2 deaths due to dengue fever.
With the business motto “Developing from society, dedicating to society”, the company has participated in and coordinated with agencies at all levels to implement the spraying program for many years. The program has played an active role in protecting the health of children, and the company has determined that health care programs for the entire population is one of its key goals.
