Working in the transportation department, Mr. Pham Linh Son 49 years old has been with Vedan Vietnam for 25 years. Following him are two children – Pham Thi My Duyen and Pham Truong Lam who also became employees of the company’s Business Department. My Duyen happily shared: “since I was a child, on June 1, my younger brother and I followed our father to enter Vedan Company to attend the festival, every year we study well, we also had scholarships and gifts from the company… Through my father’s story, I don’t know when I fell in love with Vedan, I was really touched by how people care about helping each other and the company’s welfares for employees. I have always dreamed to work in such an environment and I feel even happier when my colleagues wholeheartedly instructed me in daily work. I think I will also work at Vedan Company for a long time like my father”.

When asked why he has been with the company for the past 25 years, Mr. Do Vien Hung (Warehouse Department) smiled and said: 1993-1994 was very difficult, I did different jobs to earn money to support my family, but I couldn’t afford. Since joining Vedan Company, my family’s economy gradually stabilized. Currently, although the salary was just above pretty average compared to the surrounding labor market, the working environment is very good, I have for a long time considered the company as my second home. My son Do Phuc Thinh has also been a forklift driver at the company for 6 years.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Toan (Starch plant) slowly shared: it is no coincidence that I have a long-term attachment to Vedan. At first, it was simply because the company had a very attentive shuttle bus, comfortable accommodation, and three nutritious meals a day like home-cooked meals. Working for a long time, I feel that I am becoming more and more mature, short courses, sessions with foreign experts to work hard to repair machines, efforts to overcome difficulties together, take care of each other when being sick… united us into one inseparable block. My son Nguyen Quang Tam is now also working in the company. My family is really reassured and happy to accompany the development of Vedan Vietnam.”

Unlike the previous generation, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, son of Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, said that he is satisfied with the working environment here because there are always opportunities for development. “There are many opportunities in the market, but I have continued to stick with Vedan Vietnam because I see the opportunity to develop myself, while still having time to balance my family life. Not only me, but my younger brother Nguyen Quoc Khanh (acceptance officer) is also satisfied working here.”
