Announced the event of setting record for the largest fried rice pan in Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City, May 13^th, 2018 – The largest fried rice pan record-setting event in Vietnam by Vietnam Enterprise Corporation Limited (Vedan Vietnam) in collaboration with Vietnam Record Organization was held at Le Thi Rieng Park (875 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Ward 15 , District 10, HCMC).

The process of implementing the largest fried rice pan in Vietnam took place within 2 hours, carried out by 20 chefs under the guidance of Chef Thanh Cuong from the stages of preparation, preliminary processing of raw materials, and cooking in a 5mm thick pan with a diameter of 3m, height of 0.4m, and weighing about 300kg. To make this record, chefs must use a 1.8m-long fried spatula to stir together Vedan’s seafood fried rice spices and all ingredients. The total mass of the pan and the ingredients after preliminary processing is estimated at almost 600 kg.

In Vietnamese cuisine, many dishes such as: pho, nem, bread … has made an impression on everyone in the world. However, there are still Vietnamese delicacies that are not well known, typically fried rice. Therefore, through the event “Setting the record for the largest fried rice pan in Vietnam”, Vedan wishes to promote the rich and unique culture of Vietnamese cuisine in general, and fried rice in particular. At the children’s area, children are delighted to have fun with activities from movement (steam houses, throwing rings, throwing balls, sand ground, basketball …) to intellectual thinking (sand painting, statues painting, puzzle …). Besides, the children are also instructed by artisans to get acquainted with curiosity, one of the unique folk art forms of Vietnam.

The event also took place with a special music program with the participation of famous singers such as Duc Phuc, Suni Ha Linh, Lan Trinh and F band. With a series of exciting and diverse activities, Vedan hoped to bring attendees a meaningful weekend, an anniversary to honor women, especially those who are mothers.
