With the approval of the Board of Directors, on the morning of March 8, 2018, the Grassroots Labor Union of Vedan Vietnam Company jubilantly organized a cooking contest and a collective jump rope on the occasion of the International Women’s Day 8/3. This is an opportunity to honor the important role of women as well as an opportunity to exchange between departments/ plants… in the company, thereby building close and effective colleague relationships in production activities business.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ko Chung Chih – Deputy General Director – recognized and honored the particularly important contributions and roles of modern women in productive labor and family happiness. At the same time, we hope that the company’s female workforce will continue to make efforts to devote talent and wisdom to the sustainable development of the business as well as to improve family life in all aspects.
Present very early to participate in the cooking contest with the theme “Family meal” were 12 competing teams from departmental labor union, not only demonstrating their resourcefulness and ingenuity in housework but also bringing fun and exciting atmosphere for the competition. With the same ingredients provided by the Organizing Committee, in 60 minutes, the teams poured all their emotions and talents into delicious, rich and beautifully presented dishes. Small vase with the owner about “Mother” – a familiar but also very sacred topic. The presentations from the teams also brought different emotions in this year’s competition. With a bright smile, Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Loan – an employee from Pilot Plant – said: “Even though I have participated in many contests and cooked every day for my family, I am still very nervous and excited. We don’t care about the award, but above all, we have had laughter, a useful playground and felt the attention and respect of the Board of Directors, the grassroots Labor Union for women”.
Besides the cooking contest, male and female employees of Vedan Vietnam Company also competed in the group jump rope competition. The contest brought laughter and joy after hard working days, tightened solidarity, contributed to creating motivation for employees to continue an effective working year, long-term attachment to the enterprise in the world development path.
