Recently, on December 23, 2017, Vedan Vietnam Company cooperated with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Hong Ngu District People’s Committee (Dong Thap) to organize the handover ceremony of 2 gratitude houses for 2 policy beneficiary families with housing difficulties in Thuong Phuoc 1 and Thuong Thoi Hau B communes, Hong Ngu district, Dong Thap province.
Two gratitude houses were given to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Banh (martyr’s mother), born in 1931, living in hamlet 2, Thuong Phuoc 1 commune, with an area of 40m2, total construction cost of 130 million VND, and Mr. Bui Van Be, war invalids 3/4), born in 1949, living in Binh Hoa Ha hamlet, Thuong Thoi Hau B commune, with an area of 39.6m2, total construction cost of 65 million VND. In which, Vedan Vietnam sponsors 40 million VND for each house, the rest is contributed by the local government, family and community.
These two households not only have difficulties in housing, but their lives are also very meager, mainly relying on the monthly allowance. Through this program, Vedan Vietnam wishes to contribute a small part of their efforts together with the local government to remove the temporary, dilapidated house, bringing a spacious, stable, long-term, and happy home to each family.
In addition, on the occasion of this gratitude house, Vedan Vietnam also presents gifts that are essential items, creating conditions for households to have more comfortable living conditions in their new house.
