In order to raise public awareness and promote environmental protection movements in Dong Nai province, from June 5, 2020 to June 13, 2020, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province coordinating with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment continues to launch the program of Dong Nai Green Week 2020 – one of the very meaningful activities – in response to World Environment Day for many years.
This year, the opening ceremony of Dong Nai Green Week 2020 was held in Long Khanh city. Many youth union members, students, and residents have been called to raise awareness of environmental protection through activities such as planting trees, collecting recyclables and hazardous wastes. On this occasion, 700 canary trees and many meaningful gifts were sent by Vedan Vietnam Company to the Organizing Committee to accompany with the program.
Dong Nai Green Week is an annual environmental activity organized with a variety of activities such as: planting trees, parades, garbage collection, waste sorting to get used to a green – clean – beautiful lifestyle. Over the years of implementation, the program has increasingly attracted the attention of the community and businesses in the area.
As for Vedan Vietnam, as an FDI enterprise that has been with Dong Nai province for nearly 30 years, the company always strives to strictly comply with environmental protection regulations and is ready to support activities to improve quality life of the people of the province. With the Dong Nai Green Week program alone, over the past 6 years, more than 1,600 trees, thousands of hats and many products manufactured by the company with a total value of more than 330 million VND have been supported by Vedan Vietnam for the program.
Towards the 30th anniversary of its business establishment, Vedan Vietnam is making more and more efforts in social work, environmental protection and supporting people in difficult circumstances (especially in Dong Nai province), affirming the motto “Development from society – Dedication to society” through many meaningful community activities.
In the coming time, Vedan Vietnam will continue to adhere to and share the values from the policy “Care for environment and Sustainable operation” according to ISO 14001 standard, and the occupational health and safety policy: “Safe company – Healthy people” according to ISO 45001. This is also a guideline for Vedan’s relentless and serious efforts in environmental protection over the years.
