On the morning of May 7, 2026, at the Sen Vang Convention Center in Bien Hoa City, Vedan Vietnam participated in the launch ceremony of Humanitarian Month 2026, themed “Journey of Compassion for the Community,” organized by the Dong Nai Chapter of the Vietnam Red Cross.
Humanitarian Month carries profound humanitarian significance and is held as part of activities marking the founding anniversary of the Vietnam Red Cross (May 8), the 136th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2026), and the milestone of Dong Nai becoming a centrally governed city. The program aims to create meaningful “livelihood bridges” supporting elderly people living alone, persons with disabilities, and disadvantaged households in improving their living conditions and achieving greater stability.
At the event, Vedan Vietnam pledged VND 70 million to support the construction of a charitable house. The company also donated 200 gift packages through a zero-cost humanitarian market model, benefiting visually impaired individuals, people with disabilities, former revolutionary prisoners, families of fallen soldiers, and other underprivileged residents in the locality. These initiatives are part of Vedan Vietnam’s long-standing annual community engagement programs.
On May 8, Vedan Vietnam continued its social contribution activities by collaborating with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu My Ward to hand over renovated Great Solidarity Houses to two disadvantaged families. The first case was Mr. Mai Xuan Truong (Tan Hanh Quarter, Group 14), a visually impaired resident facing severe hardship. The second was Ms. Dinh Thi Hien (Phu Ha Quarter, Group 9), a widowed mother raising her elderly parent and two young children, whose house had significantly deteriorated. After renovation, both homes were upgraded to safer and more stable living conditions, providing the families with renewed motivation to improve their livelihoods.
Over its 35-year development journey, guided by the philosophy “Nurturing Compassion – Wholehearted Contribution,” Vedan Vietnam has consistently worked alongside local authorities and the Red Cross in implementing social welfare programs. These include building solidarity houses and charitable homes, organizing free medical check-ups and medicine distribution, providing scholarships, and supporting Tet gifts for disadvantaged communities. Each contribution reflects the company’s commitment to improving quality of life, spreading compassion and solidarity, and promoting a healthier, better society for all.
