Amid the fast pace of modern life, traditional values continue to be passed down in unique ways – through the skillful hands of chefs. Mooncakes, therefore, are not only a symbol of the Mid – Autumn Festival and reunion, but also a canvas where familiar traditions are retold through a new culinary language.
At the sharing and networking space of the “Mooncake Stories” Workshop, Vedan was honored to accompany the Saigon Professional Chefs Association, featuring two talented chefs, Vo Thi Ha Hai and Le Thi Kieu Oanh.
Starting with familiar ingredients, the chefs brought creative combinations to life, incorporating Vedan seasonings into the mooncake-making journey to create distinctive fillings:
• Mixed Nuts & Char Siu Mooncake – The filling combines Vedan Soy Sauce and Vedan Vegetable Mushroom Flavor Seasoning, creating a rich, balanced, and harmonious flavor.
• XO Seafood Mooncake – The filling combines Vedan Soy Sauce and Vedan Seafood Scallop Sauce, creating a refreshing and captivating new flavor profile.
Sometimes, creativity does not come from unfamiliar things, but begins with looking at familiar ingredients from a new perspective.
Vedan is honored to accompany chefs on their journey of preserving traditional culinary values, sharing the essence of their craft, and continuously exploring new and distinctive flavors.
